This program of study is designed for people who plan to pursue Medical Assisting and numerous related careers. To provide a strong foundation for career growth, it integrates in-depth medical assisting knowledge with psychology studies, ethnical & legal standards, and communication and interpersonal skills.


Students receive primary training in anatomy, physiology, medical emergencies, microbiology, pharmacology, and psychology. They also study medical administration, which encompasses topics like insurance practices, requirements, regulations and how to ensure proper reimbursement for services.

Curriculum focuses on essential medical terminology, patient scheduling, medical billing and coding, medical law and ethics. Instructors for all clinical courses are medical doctors (MDs).

Pharmacy Technology, Pharmacy Technology Course, Pharmacy Tech Colleges NY

This program of study is designed for people who plan to pursue Pharmacy Technician or other pharmacy-related careers.

Pharmacy technicians provide technical and clerical support to pharmacists in the preparation and delivery of pharmaceutical products.

This program of study is designed for people who plan to pursue accounting or management careers.

Students take courses in accounting, advanced business, general education and office technology. They also learn how to evaluate business operations using accounting principles and expertise.

Curriculum focuses on developing logical, critical and analytical thinking as well as leadership skills that are vital to management (e.g. teamwork, negotiation, decision-making, problem-solving, etc.)

Computer Programming & Information Technology

This program is designed for people who plan to pursue careers as programmer analysts, web developers, and applications programmers.

Students take courses in computer architecture, operating systems, advanced programming techniques, database management, network administration & design, developing internet applications using ASP and Java, and general education.

They can choose from 3 elective areas:

Application Development with Java - students learn object oriented technology, SQL server database management with extensive JAVA programming.

Web Development with ASP (Active Server Pages) - students learn to analyze, design and implement interactive websites, using HTML, XTML, XML, ASP.net to create database driven websites.

Visual Communications and Graphics - students learn to use design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, and Dreamweaver.

When they reach the final phase of their specialization, students submit a real world project for evaluation by a 3-member faculty panel.

If they successfully complete these electives in the recommended sequence, they're prepared for the corresponding industry certifications. Upon graduation, they'll also have an impressive portfolio of web pages to use in their job search.

Network Administration & Security

This program of study is designed for people who plan to pursue careers in network administration and security. They learn to analyze, plan, design, install, optimize, maintain, and administer computer networks and network systems.

Curriculum focuses on hands-on training with a wide variety of current computer network systems, data communications, computer and network operating systems.

Students take courses in computer architecture, hardware, operating systems, network administration and design, network security, wireless systems and database management.

In their 1st year, they study up to the A+/MCP certification level. In their 2nd year, they study up to the MCSA/MCSE/CCNA/CCNP level.


Ultimately, students become proficient at fulfilling system requirements for network and application sharing as well as providing database management support.

Computer Support Specialist

This 2-semester certificate program provides students with an introduction to many areas of information technology including computer architecture, hardware, operating systems, network administration, and support.

It is specifically designed to teach IT professionals how to maintain, troubleshoot and administer computers and network systems.

The Computer Support Specialist program gives students hands-on training and prepares them to work in the service sector of the microcomputer industry as well as in microcomputer software and business application environments.
